MODERNISATION OF THE SORTING LINE
Replacement of CPU S7-300 with S7-1500. Related software migration from STEP7 to TIA V17, modification of functions that were no longer supported by the TIA portal. Subsequent replacement of ET stations and change from PROFIBUS to PROFINET. New diagnostics for PROFINET were also required. Modifications in InTouch (new settings for the communication interface with the CPU needed).
With the modernization, existing external devices had to be revived, namely scanners for reading packages, communication via RS422 - full duplex (point-to-point), encoders (reading only "A" pulses for positioning) and, among others, safety was introduced into the PLC (CPU-F).
Lastly, minor on-site modifications were carried out according to the customer's wishes.
