Sorting Line Modernization
- Replacement of the Siemens S7-300 control unit with the new S7-1500, including software migration from STEP7 to TIA Portal V17.
-
Several functions that TIA Portal no longer supports had to be redesigned.
The modernization also included replacing ET stations and switching from PROFIBUS to PROFINET, including the creation of a new PROFINET diagnostics system.Adjustments were also made to the InTouch visualization, mainly in the communication interface with the CPU.
The project included commissioning external devices such as parcel scanners (RS422 – full duplex) and encoders for positioning.
A new safety PLC (CPU-F) was also integrated into the system.
- PLC: Siemens S7-1500 (replacement for S7-300), TIA Portal
- Communication: PROFIBUS → PROFINET
- Remote I/O: new ET stations (PROFINET)
- Safety control: PLC CPU-F
- HMI system: InTouch (new communication interface)
- External devices: scanners (RS422, full duplex), encoders
Production of Steel Battery Structures
Programming the production of car batteries — steel battery frame manufacturing.
Work performed on 4 production lines with a total of 30 conveyors, robots, and gantry systems.
We were responsible for PLCs and robots.
Raw material was processed on CNC systems and handed off to downstream stations via conveyors and handling robots.

- Other: fully decentralized I/O (PROFINET, PROFIsafe), Sick nanoScan3, Siemens RFID RF615D, Festo VTUG, IO-Link, Euchner EKS, safety locks

Fabric Folding Machine
Control of a production line for folding fabrics using two manipulators with infinite-axis rotation.
A standard robot was not suitable, so manipulators were used instead.
Each manipulator included 8 servo drives that had to be synchronized for millimeter precision and simultaneous motion using interpolation.
- Control system: Motion PLC with multi-axis interpolation
- Drive communication: EtherCAT
- Drives: Festo servo drives (synchronized)
- Control logic: PLC robotic libraries (multi-axis interpolation)
- Axis functions: GearIn / GearOut (master–slave synchronization)
- Servo drives: 8 per manipulator
Welding Lines for Tractor Booms
We provided control of the Siemens PLC system and communication with Fanuc robots performing fully automated welding of tractor boom assemblies.
